Moana to Yankalilla:

Moana Beach Lifesaving Club, Esplanade Moana for Morning Tea and then to Aldinga Beach onto Willunga Hill via Hindmarsh Valley & Inman Valley Roads to Yankalilla Hotel, 105 Main Street, Yankalilla for lunch.

The Lower Murray River Run:

Meet at Howard Tce, Hazelwood Park and drive through the Adelaide Hills stopping at the Soldiers Memorial Gardens at Strathalbyn for morning tea then Ashbourne, Finnis, Milang and Lake Alexandrina to Clayton Bay at Sails Restaurant for lunch.

Run to Victor Harbor:

Meet at Victoria Hotel, South Road, O’Halloran Hill and drive via McLaren Vale to the Rose Garden at Willunga for a BYO morning tea and then onto the Victor Harbor Golf Club for lunch.

Spirit of the Hills to Lobethal Bierhaus:

Meet at the White House, 90 Main St, Hahndorf for morning tea and then a leisurely drive to Beerenberg Strawberry Farm, then through the hills to Lobethal Bierhaus for lunch.

Long Weekend at Kangaroo Island:

Kangaroo Island, staying at the Kangaroo Island Seaside Inn, Kingscote.

Activities:  Historic sights, Seal Bay, Birds of Prey, Flinders Chase, Admirals Arch, Remarkable Rocks, Galleries, American River, Prospect Hill, Wineries & Restaurants.

Lunch at Anderson’s Winery:

Meet at Millies Bakery, 59 Main Road, Nairne for morning tea and then a nice drive through some great Hills roads to Anderson’s Winery (previously known as Yangoora Winery) for Gourmet Pizzas and wine tasting.

Pindarie, Barossa Valley:

Meet at Victoria Park Race Course Car Park, for a nice drive to Gumeracha for morning tea and then onto Pindarie Winery, for gourmet pies and other great selection of lunches.  Wine tasting a must.

The Iconic Barossa Valley Run:

Meet at Victoria Park for a twisty route to the Village Green at Lyndoch for BYO morning tea. Then criss-cross the Barossa for lunch at the Tanunda Hotel.

Mid Week Run to The Three Brothers Arms, Macclesfield:

Meet at Thorndon Park, Hamilton Tce, Paradise for BYO morning tea, before we will set off on the Tour Down Under and Up Over to the Three Brothers Arms for a great meal by the open fire.  The route will take in part of the Tour Down Under and Corkscrew Road.

Impromptu Mid Week Run:

Meet at John Opie’s Bakehouse, 378 Unley Road, Unley Park for morning tea and then a short run through the hills to The Old Vine Café (opposite Old Aldinga Hotel) for lunch.

Lunch at Currency Creek Winery:

Meet at Hazelwood Park Reserve, Howard Tce, Hazelwood Park and drive through some sections of the Adelaide Classic Rally routes between Meadows and Macclesfield where we will stop for morning tea, then drive through Strathalbyn to Currency Creek for lunch in front of a roaring fire.

Glacier Rock Run:

Meet at Victoria Park and then drive up through the Hills on roads that will take us up the Mt Alma Hillclimb Road to see the spectacular view from the top.  After morning tea, we will drive to the Rockview Café for a meal of soup, fish & chips or lasagna.

The Slicks, Flicks and Chicks Run:

Meet at City Dismantlers, Pt Wakefield Road, Gepps Cross at 9:45am.  From there we will travel to Mallala Motorsport Park to cheer on our sporting members who are taking part in the Six Hour Regularity.  BYO morning tea.  From there we will travel to Blyth where we will have a catered lunch and view a movie in the Blyth Cinema.  You can then go through the Medika Gallery where artist Ian Roberts has beautiful artwork of Australian birds and plants.

Lady Bay for Lunch:

Meet at Victoria Hotel, South Rd, O’Halloran Hill 9:30am.  We will stop for Morning Tea at Aldinga Beach and then a quiet drive to Lady Bay for Lunch.

The “Anything but Average” Tour of the Adelaide Hills:

Meet at Victoria Park Racecourse 9:30am and enjoy a pleasant run through the hills.  BYO Morning tea at Gumeracha and then onto David and Judy Jarrett’s for BBQ lunch.

Visit Garage Mahal and Wirra Wirra Winery for lunch:

Meet at Windy Point Restaurant Car Park and then drive onto Garage Mahal where we can have BYO morning tea and then drive through the Southern Vales to Wirra Wirra Winery for a BYO BBQ lunch and some wine tasting.

Fish & Chip Evening Run to Victor Harbor:

Meet at Willunga Rose Garden, Willunga and drive through Southern Vales to Victor Habor for an evening meal of Fish & Chips.  Sleepover, optional.

President’s Big Breakfast at Christies Sailing Club:

Meet at Christies Sailing Club for breakfast.  No run.

Have the Last Word for the Last Weekend Run of the Year:

Meet at Caltex Service Station, 965 Port Wakefield Rd, Bolivar 9:00am and drive to Riverton for BYO morning tea and a special opening has been arranged to browse around Robert Hannaford’s Riverton Light Gallery.  Drive to the hilltop of Burra and look at the observations areas and then onto Clare at the Last Word Winery for lunch.

A Pleasant Sunday Afternoon:

Meet at the Weighbridge, South of the Black Road/Main South Road intersection at 12:45pm for a drive to Pamela Langdon-Walsh’s house where we will enjoy a “Pleasant Afternoon Garden Tea Party” and look through Pamela’s “Open Garden”.  Cost of $7.00 pp for afternoon tea.

Murray River Lunch Cruise:

Meet at corner of Main South and Black Roads, Happy Valley at 9:30am for a run to Murray Bridge.  BYO morning tea to have on the Captain Proud.  Lunch on the Captain Proud is $30.00 p.p.

Weekend Away – The Winter Ramble – The Recidivist Run: Sat & Sun

Join us for a delightful country run to Gladstone where we will be jailed in the Gladstone Jail for the night.  We will enjoy a BBQ in the Jail, so bring your best ghost stories, port and chocolates.  In the morning we will have a hot country breakfast and after release, will explore the local area and then drive back home.

Clare Valley Getaway with Optional Clare Sleepover:

Meet at City Dismantlers, Gepps Cross.   We will have a mystery winery visit and lunch in Clare with the option of staying overnight in Clare at the Clare Country Club.  You will need to organize your own accommodation if staying over.

Adelaide to Mannum via Lobethal:

Meet at Burnside Library at 10:30am and then we will have a leisurely drive to Mannum for lunch at the Mannum Hotel and return to Adelaide via Murray Bridge.

Autumn Ramble to Mannum:

Meet at Eagle on the Hill and travel via Adelaide Hills through back roads and valleys arriving at Mannum (Pretoria Hotel) for lunch.

A relaxing Friday Evening at the Marino Rocks Café/Restaurant:

Meet at 6:00pm at Victoria Park Car Park, and head down Anzac Highway with an Esplanade detour along the way, arriving at the Marino Rocks Café for the best Fish & Chips in town.

Biennial SA/VIC MX-5 Club Weekend Away:

To Blue Lakes & Coonawarra Region. A relaxing weekend is planned with the emphasis being on having fun and making new friends with the Vic’s. Staying at the Best Western Southgate Motel, 174 Commercial Street East, Mount Gambier.  Make your own bookings.

Lunch at the Greenman Inn, Ashbourne:

Meet in Burnside Library Car Park, Greenhill Road, Tusmore for an exciting drive through the hills to the Greenman Inn, Ashbourne for lunch.

Not “The Classic Adelaide Rally” Run:

Meet at the Willunga Rose Garden Car Park, Willunga.  The run will incorporate 3 stages of the now defunct Classic Adelaide Rally (Willunga Hill, Chapel Hill & Macclesfield Stages).  BYO morning tea and also BYO for BBQ lunch back at our place.

Morning Tea at Middlebrook Winery, McLaren Vale to Currency Creek for Lunch:

Meet at Victoria Park Car Park for a drive to the Middlebrook Winery for morning tea, cake supplied by the Club and then onto Currency Creek via some interesting roads for Buffet lunch.

Picnic Run to watch Racing at Mallala Race Track – Come & Be a Spectator:

BYO Picnic lunch, rug and sun shade. 9:00am  Meet at Victoria Park Car Park for a lovely drive to Malalla to watch our racing guys.  3 Volunteers are required to be Track Marshall’s on the day.

Spring into Barossa & Beyond:

Meet at City Dismantlers, Gepps Cross 9:00am.  Travelling via Gomersal Rd to Tanunda for morning tea then via Marananga/Greenock to visit several wineries, Greenock Winery, Two Hands Winery, Barossa Brewing Co. Then travel to Kapunda for a guided tour of Kapunda or a visit to the Kapunda Museum.  Lunch at the Wheatsheaf Pub, Allendale North.

Visit to Port Adelaide, Museums Tour and Lunch – Family Day:

Meet at the Railway Museum so bring your kids, grandkids or even Grandma.  Then select which Museums you wish to attend, all within walking distance.  Sea Horse Fair, 20 Devitt St., Maritime Museum, Lipson St, National Railway Museum, Lipson St, Avaiation Museum, Lipson St.  Lunch will be at the Port Dock Brewery Hotel, Todd Street for 1:00pm.  Whilst our meal is being prepared you can have a tour of the micro brewery and their historical cellars.  Live music available to entertain us.

Lobethal Woollen Mills Markets to Kanmantoo for Lunch:

Meet at Thorndon Park Reserviour, Paradise.  BYO morning tea as we will drive to Lobethal and be able to wander through the Lobethal Woollen Mills Markets, morning tea at Lobethal.  Then we will drive through some great roads to Kanmantoo for lunch.

Australia Day Run – Hills to Coast and Back Again:

Meet at Mylor Oval 9:30am.  We will drive through the hills and have a pick up point at Kangarilla and a quick view stop behind the Myponga Reservoir.  BYO morning tea, which we will have at the Normanville Jetty and then return to Jenny & Trevor Harrington’s for lunch of roast meats, salads and deserts.  BYO own drinks.

Tour of the Apple Isle:

This is a 7 day tour of Tasmania.  All attendees will need to book their own ferry and accommodation as per attached information sheet.  We will then all meet at Port Melbourne for the overnight crossing on the Ferry.  Please see information sheets for the weeks’ schedule.

Johnston Winery – Inglewood – Adelaide Hills:

Meet at Hazelwood Park Reserve Car Park 9:45am for a drive through the Adelaide Hills.  BYO morning tea which we will have at Johnston Winery, Oakbank and enjoy some wine tasting.  Then drive onto Inglewood Inn, North East Road, Inglewood for lunch.

Come Fly With Me – Mid Week Run:

Meet at Mitcham Reserve for a breakfast of pancakes.  BYO own coffee.  Then we will all drive to Port Adelaide Aviation Museum, 66 Lipson Street, Port Adelaide.  This will not be in convoy, but each of you find your way there.  Then lunch at the Lighthouse Inn, Commercial Road, Pt Adelaide.

Aldgate to Three Brothers Arms Macclesfield:

Meeet at the Providore & Café, Main Street, Aldgate 9:30am for coffee and scones.  Then we will drive through Mylor, Echunga, Mt Barker, Strathallbyn, Ashbourne, Macclesfield to the Three Brothers Arms for lunch.

Club Day At Malalla:

Meet at Virginia Nursery 10:00am, Gawler Road, Virgian for morning tea and then we will drive to Mallala to support our racing teams and participate in a Parade Lap During the Lunch Break.  Lunch will be supplied by the Club.  Volunteers required for Flagging Duties on the Day.

Eagle on the Hill to The Great Eastern Hotel, Littlehampton Run:

Meet at the car park at Eagle on the Hill 10:00am.  We will then drive to Nepenthe Cellar Door, Balhannah for morning tea and wine tasting and then drive on to The Great Eastern Hotel for lunch.

Motorfest Cruising Classics Ramble to Strathalbyn:

Meet at car park at Eagle on the Hill for a drive through some great hills roads to Macclesfield General Store for coffee and cake and then we will drive to Strathalbyn for a Pub Lunch at the Commercial Hotel, 27 High Street, Strathalbyn.

Crafers Via the Whispering Wall:

Meet at Thorndon Park Reserve, Paradise and we will wind our way through the Adelaide Hills on roads with lots of twists, curves and some straight bits stopping for BYO morning tea at the Whispering Wall Park.  Then on some more great reoads through Williamtown, Forreston, Gumeracha. Lobethal, Lenswood, Basket Range, Summertown and Piccadillly to Jimmies Restaurant, Crafers for gourmet pizza and salads.

Goolwa Motor Museum:

Meet at Meadows Bakery 10:00 for a great drive through some Southern Vale roads to the Goolwa Motor Museum.  Afther that we will drive through more great roads to The Landing Bistro, Hindmarsh Island for lunch.

Wallaroo/Copper Coast Mid Week Run:

Meet at 9:3am at Caltex Service Station, Port Wakefield Road.  We will travel along the Northern Expressway to Auburn.  BYO morning tea, which we will have at Annie’s Lane Winery, Watervale and also partake in some wine tasting.  Then we will take some interesting road through Balaklava, Pt Wakefield & Copper Coast Highway for lunch at the Coopers Alehouse, Wallaroo.

Picnic Lunch at Seppeltsfield Winery:

Meet at the Watershed Café, Mawson Lake 10:00 for morning tea and then onto Seppeltsfield Winery where we can use the BBQ’s.  BYO own meat and salads.  Purchase wines at the winery.

Slot Car Racing:

Meet at 10:00am at Mt Lofty Summit Restaurant and Café for coffee and cake and then we will depart for a tour to Lobethal, via Summertown,Uraidla, Carey Gully and Lenswood where we will stop at the Adelaide Hills Slot Raceway for some “really serious slot car racing”.  Then we will depart for the Oakbank Hotel, which boasts the best steaks in the Adelaide Hill, for lunch.

Hills to River Run:

Meet at Sheoak Café, Belair, 9:00am for a coffee or breakfast.  Then we will regroup at the Belair Country Club into convoys.  We will then drive through the Hills onto Wellington, for lunch.  The Wellington Courthouse, Punt & Mason Roads, is a historic site and was the Police Station for the area.  This has now been made into a B&B and Café/Restaurant.

Southern Beaches Summer Cruise:

Meet at the top of Tapley’s Hill Road at 4:00pm.  We will take a leisurely cruise along the southern beaches, enjoying a balmy summer evening.  Tea will be at Historic Aldinga Hotel.

Southern Hills & Vales Picnic:

Meet Victoria Park Car Park 9:00am for a leisurely run through the Hills to Meadows Bakery for morning tea.  Then onto Strathalbyn, Ashbourne and Mount Compass to the Tapestry Winery, McLaren Vale where we have reseved the Picnic area including BBQ for the MX5 Club.  BYO Picnic food and BBQ meats.   Only Tasestry wines to be consumed, sold by bottle or glass.

Warrawong Breakfast Run:

Come and have breakfast with the animals.  Meet at Victoria Park 8:00am.  We will be taking a short run over some of the best roads the Adelaide Hills have to offer culminating In a sumptious breakfast at Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary.  Breakfasts can also be combined with an interactive animal show – these are at 11 am at $5 pp.

Mannum River Run:

9:00 am meet at the Big Rocking Horse for morning tea or BYO.  We will then drive though Birdwood to Mannum for lunch beside the river at the Pretoria Hotel.

The Water is Back, but only at Goolwa:

Depart Victoria Park Car Park 9:00am for a meandering scenic route via Belair, Cherry Gardens.  BYO morning tea to have at Clarendon, then via Mt Compass to Handmarsh Island and the Murray Mouth.  Lunch at Rankine’s Landing Tavern, Hindmarsh Island Marina.

Mazda Mystery Tour:

Please come and join us for a mixture of tight and twisty, long and flowing curves.  A mixed bag for everyone.  BYO morning tea.

Join us in Piccadilly for a Gourmet Circus:

A mid-week meal, and if you want to join us, a mid-evening meander.  Drop in after work for salad, dips and all the gourmet pizza you can eat.  Follow up with baklava and coffee.  If you want to join us for a half hour drive as you depart, follow the maps provided for a meander around the back lanes of Piccadilly Valley.
