Entry from Poppy Hawkins (Events Secretary)
I purchased a Supercharge MF55B24LS battery for my NC for $125 (including GST) on 17 July 2014 from Modbury Battery Service. This battery has a far greater Cold Cranking Amperage (CCA 490) than the original, is less than half the price and it fits the bay without any need for modification whatsoever. The specifications are here.
Feel free contact me about its performance and reliability to date
Des Long (Updated 26Nov14)
I had my steering wheel completely recovered and the front drivers seat partially recovered, due to wear on the seat (thigh) cushions. This was done by Delrim Auto and Marine Upholsterers. 101 Gibson St, Bowden, SA, 5007. Ph: 0402 491 468. He used the best quality leather on the steering wheel and was able to match the cloth seat trim exactly. He is a single person operator who I found frank and reliable and his workmanship was excellent. The cost was $350 for the steering wheel (Italian) leather retrim and $150 to replace the seat panels. I documenting this here as I found it exteremly difficult to find an upholsterer who both had the cloth to match and was interested in doing the job.
To get the steering wheel recovered required removal of the wheel and this guy was the only person I could find who was qualified to do this and had the space to store the car while the job was being completed. (Others wanted me just to bring them the detached steering wheel).
