There are now only three months remaining to NATMEET 2018 in the Barossa Valley.  We have accommodated everyone on the Standby List and registration is again open. 

Most people who have registered have paid their deposit but there are still some outstanding. If there is any confusion regarding the method of payment please follow the instructions below. We all look forward to sharing our beautiful countryside with you in the Barossa Valley and adjacent wine districts of the Adelaide Hills and the Clare Valley.

The initial overwhelming enthusiasm for this event did diminished somewhat as deposits have became due but this was not entirely unexpected.  We presently have around 150 committed attendees (November 2017).  Through generous sponsorship and your feedback we have made every attempt to consolidate this event making it more affordable without compromising the quality of your stay. We kindly request anyone who was deterred by the waiting list or was not aware of the reduced cost to seriously reconsider joining in. 

It’s worth noting that our event is over six days which is a little longer than previous Natmeets and we believe that at $500.00 per person is very good value. It compares favourably with the daily cost of the previous Natmeet which ran over four days and incurred ferry costs from the mainland. We acknowledge it’s a long way to travel to SA and a shorter stay may also have deterred potential visitors. Costs also include coffee and lunches for three of the days so you won’t have to dig deep while on excursions. To ensure your safety and enjoyment bus transfers are also included for the dinners at Seppeltsfield and the Vine Inn.

Sunday 8th April 2018
Day 1
Track day at Mallala or The Bend Motorsport Park for the motorsport enthusiasts.

* Note that track day fees are not included as part of the registration and will be advised when the new owners of the track have determined prices for 2018.
Sunday 8th April 2018
Day 1
Registration at the Novotel followed by Welcome gourmet PM BBQ and drinks
Monday 9th April
Day 2
Day: Travel through the Barossa Valley to the Clare Valley through Auburn and on to a light lunch at O’Leary Walker Winery with spectacular views over the valley.

Note: Runs today, Wednesday and Thursday will be a third of the total participants to each destination each day

Evening: Freshen up and board the bus for Seppeltsfield where you will be given a tour of the winery and their port barrel rooms, followed by welcoming drinks and nibbles before dinner in the renowned Seppeltsfield Winery 'Barrel Hall' .
* Sufficient time will be available to clean cars for the next day before boarding the bus.
Tuesday 10th April 2018
Day 3
Day: Today starts with a grand parade through Tanunda in the heart of the Barossa ending at the Tanunda oval for a Concours d' Elegance where participants can choose to have their cars judged. This will be a picnic atmosphere including morning tea and lunch provided by local community volunteers.

The afternoon and evening are free for you to explore the wineries, craft and food establishments at your own pace.
Wednesday 11th April 2018
Day 4
Day: Today’s run will explore the Barossa Valley including visits to Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop, Wolf Blass winery and Barossa Valley Cheese Company and includes lunch at the SA Company Store famous for its local produce. Driving through the towns of Nuriootpa, Greenock, Angaston, Tanunda, Bethany and Seppeltsfield you will experience the many vineyards in their autumn colours.

After lunch options are choices to return to Wolf Blass Winery to blend your own wine (not included in the registration cost), a visit to the Jaguar collection in Tanunda, a visit to Steiny’s traditional mettwurst producers or simply roam the Barossa Valley.

Evening: After returning to the Novotel there will be ample time before boarding the bus to Nuriootpa for dinner and drinks at the Vine Inn
Thursday 12th April 2018
Day 5
Day: This morning we will enjoy some great roads through the Adelaide Hills before stopping for morning coffee at Oakbank famous for the annual steeplechase races. Some more challenging roads through the hills will see us arrive at Hahndorf to explore the famous village established by the early German settlers. Time to explore the shops and choose your own lunch option from the many food outlets in the main street.

Evening: Back to the Novotel Resort before the presentation night dinner and drinks with dress based on the German theme.

Day 6
Morning: Farewell Breakfast


What do I get?

The cost per person for the event is $500.  (Independent of accommodation, which is detailed on the Registration page.) 

We are planning to host a high quality event that covers most of your costs while you enjoy the world class venues here in the famous Barossa Valley and experience both the Clare Valley and Adelaide Hills.   This cost includes:

  • Registration kits and welcome packs
  • The welcome night BBQ and complimentary drink at the 5-star Novotel Resort, Sunday evening
  • Dinner and drinks package in the renowned Seppeltsfield winery ‘Barrel Room’, on Monday evening
  • Dinner and welcome drink at the ‘Vine Inn’, Nuriootpa, Wednesday evening
  • Coach transport to and from the restaurants Monday and Wednesday nights for your comfort and safety
  • Presentation Night and the farewell at the Novotel Resort, Thursday evening
  • Morning tea on the Barossa Valley run
  • Lunch on the Clare run
  • Lunch and morning tea at the Concours d’Elegance
  • Farewell breakfast at the Novotel, Friday morning before departure
  • Entertainment and prizes throughout the event

We have put considerable effort in to balancing cost and quality while ensuring every guest will have the opportunity to experience the best the Barossa has to offer in the way of hospitality, entertainment and features.


How do I pay?

To enable timely payment of deposits, the committee determined two options for payment to secure your registration:
Option 1 (two instalments):

Payment 1 Monday 3rd July 2017 $300/attendee
Payment 2 Friday 29th December 2017 $200/attendee
Total $500/attendee





Option 2 (single payment):

One payment on Monday 3rd July 2017 $500/attendee

As the bank account is a dedicated to Natmeet 2018, you do not need to use Natmeet 2018 in your transaction description.  Instead please use your Surname together with the payment number.  For example, SMITH PAY1, SMITH PAY 2, or just SMITH PAY if you are making full payment.

Some financial institutions restrict the number or characters that can be inserted in the ‘reference/description’ boxes, so the key is to ensure sufficient characters of your surname to readily identify you the payee.   Some institutions have the facility to send an email of the payment to a selected addressee.  If you can address this email to our Natmeet Treasurer – Dianne Robertson – this should eliminate any potential uncertainty.   Any doubts, please contact the Treasurer on 0437 771 112.
